Received Any Job Offers In Your Email Lately?

The number of 'jobs' I've been offered in the last week by way of spam email is astounding!

Now I don't know what response they are expecting, but... Do they REALLY think they're going to get responses to crap like this?Subject: This is a chance to work in part hours, available from Fri, 23 Feb 2007 22:20:01 0100

Ladies and Gentleman, MYNAME !
Do you live in Australia?
Please e-mail your request to EMAIL
Please don't forget to add the following important information about you:

1. Your name:
2. Your age "

Regards,

Alicia P.
where MYNAME is - when you look at the headers of the email - a dictionary word that has been cc'd to multiple mynames @ multiple domains - and EMAIL is an email address to apply to.

Another example received multiple times recently is: Would you be interested in a home job that allows you to earn up to AUD3000 per month? No start up fees, no "envelope stuffing" nonsense.

The nature of the job is payment processing. You will receive the funds which our customers/resellers send directly to you and forward it to us or our agents (less your commission) via one of chosen money transfer agencies.
Sounds easy... money gets deposited into your account... then you pass it on... hmmm... but first... "tell us your bank account details..."

DANGER! DANGER! DANGER! WILL ROBINSON!!!

But why are you going to get involved in some sort of money laundering scheme, which is what it is at best - or at worst, give your details to other people so they can re-create or even steal your identity???

NEVER respond to any email or job "offer" that involves parting with your bank account details - and that potentially includes signing up for some affiliate programs without checking the company out beforehand.

If you CAN'T check THEM out... then quickly forget about the "opportunity"...
